Dr. Robert Pilarski graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sherbrooke where he also completed his residency in family medicine. He is actively involved in the treatment and follow-up of HIV as well as in the prevention of STIs. He has a keen interest in the epidemiological aspect of HIV and STIs. Dr. Pilarski participates in clinical research. He is also one of the pioneers of HIV treatment as prevention as well as pre-exposure prophylaxis or PrEP.
In addition to providing follow-up for people living with HIV, Dr. Pilarski has also developed expertise in the management and follow-up of diabetes. His clientele is diverse, including men who have sex with men (MSM), men and women seeking gender reassignment, sex workers, as well as men and women simply requiring medical follow-up for a serious chronic condition.
