Originally from St-Georges-de-Beauce, Dr. Marie-Eve Morin completed her medical degree at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sherbrooke in 2001 and her residency in family medicine at Laval University in 2004, following two years of residency in orthopedic surgery. She began her medical practice in 2005 at the clinic l’Actuel, a clinic specializing at the time in HIV/AIDS. At the same time, she practiced at the Nouveau-Départ Clinic, where she confirmed her interest in mental health issues and addictions of all kinds. Additionally, Dr. Morin had the opportunity to practice in various clinical settings, including the Canadian Correctional Service (CSC), where she treated inmates for four years. On June 1, 2015, she opened the doors to her own medical clinic, the Clinique Caméléon, which specialized in the treatment and comprehensive care of patients with addiction issues. Due to a lack of public funding and government support, Clinique Caméléon closed its doors in August 2020. As of November 2020, Dr. Morin joined the team at Clinique Médicale La Licorne. As a lecturer and trainer, she seizes every opportunity to raise awareness and inform the public. Recognized as a media reference in the field of addictions, Dr. Morin regularly participates in television and radio interviews, reports, both nationally and regionally. Concerned with staying up-to-date, she participates in several international, national, and local training sessions in the field of addictions.
